Bujinkan Budo

Bujinkan Budo is the martial arts system of Grandmaster Masaaki
Hatsumi. Bujinkan means "Divine Warrior House," or "Warrior Spirit
Hall." Bujinkan Budo is the amalgamation of nine individual,
although closely related, traditional Japanese Ninja and Samurai
families. Nine families, one heart.

In the past these arts were explored in their individual
ryu, or
family, formats. Through the centuries it was not uncommon that
the leadership of one of more martial families would be held by the
same person. Eventually, Grandmaster Hatsumi received
leadership of the nine schools that comprise the Bujinkan.
